ADHD is a short form for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. This disorder is a mental one and frequently or because especially in children. Usually, this disorder may extend into adulthood. One of the most common and early signs of ADHD is forgetfulness. Oftentimes, people with this disorder tend to be very forgetful of even the most common activities of the day. In many occasions, people with ADHD forgets where they put their things and thus they even get lost easily. Children for instance lose their items such as toys.
Inability to pay attention is another common sign. The person is easily distracted by small things and activities happening around and will not be keen to detail. They find it difficult to pay attention to people talking for a long period of time and lose interest. Such people are prone to making careless mistakes at places of work and in school work for children. One’s ability and speed of learning is reduced. There would be disorganization in one’s work and way of doing things and one would be known for this.
One common sign is also hyperactivity. These people tend to be excessively active. They seem to be restless and cannot be at one place for quite some time. You will find such kids very playful, working and even running around aimlessly. Doing quiet tasks would be difficult for them for instance, playing quiet games would not be the preference of such children. Such people are always frequently fidgeting and cannot sit still.
People with ADHD tend to be very impulsive. They can act quickly and most times without thinking. If you react in a negative manner, this may be very dangerous and even have serious consequences. This affects one’s ability to make sober decisions and react appropriately when faced with situations.
Emotional instability is common in people with ADHD. Their emotions tend to differ and instantaneously change. One will often have problems managing that anger and throw tantrums inappropriately. They therefore find it difficult to put their emotions under control. Dealing with such people would become difficult especially if you do not understand them.
